We had a fun spring break staying home and playing around Houston! We started with the Houston Rodeo! We went one night and Averie and Raleigh actually went in to watch the rodeo while Grady and I went to visit the chickens and share an ice cream…which he hated!
Then, we went back for a full day on Saturday. We saw all of the animals and briefly visited the petting zoo. The animals were so up-close and personal that Averie woke up from a dream that night because “a kangaroo was licking her pillow”! We also went to “Fun on the Farm” and met some friends so the kids could ride the carnival rides together. They loved the rides and were very big kids! We were all exhausted!

On Monday, we went to a friend’s house for a playdate and Tuesday was a park day with more friends. Wednesday we went to the Houston Arboretum and “hiked” around the lake trough the “forest,” saw turtles and then played on the playground. It was followed by a picnic and more park time. Thursday we took a break and then Friday we dressed up to meet Daddy at work for lunch and then one more park trip to Discovery Green downtown. Whew, it was a busy week…not sure why they call it a break!
