Mother's Day
We started our Mother’s Day celebration with “Muffins for Mom” at Averie’s school. Then, on Saturday we had a great day at the zoo and even fed the giraffes lettuce! Averie was very nervous but it turns out the giraffes do all the work. We barely held out the leaves and their huge tongues scooped them right up! Ours even gave Raleigh a little nuzzle in appreciation. On Sunday, we took it easy, opened presents and watched the kids play in the wading pool. It was a great weekend!
