Sea World San Antonio

We had a fun weekend at Sea World!  It was hot but not too unbearable and the kids did great the first 2 days…the third day we were all a little tired but we still managed to have a good time!

The best we could get of the two!

Averie and Grady with Shamu!

Friday we drove to San Antonio and went straight to Sea World for about 5 hours.  We saw almost all of the animals and the sea lion show, and rode most of the rides!  Averie loved the Rio Loco (rapids ride) which she was just tall enough to ride…42 inches!  They both loved the Sesame Street Carousel of course, but Averie wasn’t a huge fan of the Shamu Express kids roller coaster.  It was pretty fast!  Raleigh and I took turns riding the Great White inverted roller coaster.  We both liked it but decided once was enough!

Oh wow!

Mom and Averie on the Shamu Express (front).

Loving the carousel!

I'm big enough for a ride!

The Sea Lion show...it's a cute skit!

Old Max was a huge walrus!

Snack break!
Saturday we went in our bathing suits and spent the whole day in the water! We started in the Sesame Street Bay of Play which is a huge splash pad. Then, we went into the Lost Lagoon Waterpark. The kids both loved the lazy river and wave pool and of course the splash pad area there too. Averie got to do a small water slide but even though she was tall enough for the bigger slides, she was just too small to stay in the tubes so we didn’t push that one! Grady’s highlight was the show during our lunch…Shamu along with a penguin, shark, and puffin, all in costume singing and dancing. He couldn’t take his eyes off of it. He was thrilled when the shark came to our table. Sadly, our camera was in a locker at the time. That night, we were all exhausted so we opted for a picnic of leftovers and pizza in our room. The kids loved it!
Grady was so excited!

Averie had a blast too!

Being silly!

Really tired!

Our hotel dinner picnic!

Sunday, we were all tired but still revisited the dolphins and saw two shows. The first was a Sesame Street 4D show…in a nice, air conditioned room! The second was the best of all…the Shamu show, “Believe.” We were all excited to see the killer whales. They were truly amazing! Then, we drove home and all crashed!

Back at the Dolphin Encounter

Ready for the show!

Aren't we cute!

We had great seats (at the top of the "Splash Zone")

The jumps were so cool!

This was the part of the show where the whales spash everyone.
Luckily, we were not in the front rows, those people got saoked!

Ta-da! Or "DAAA" as Grady would say!
